Here’s how I #maketheshift:
First, to relate it my hobby of hand lettering and drawing, I set aside time to do what I love so I can brew my skills further and share my work. It’s a conscious effort to show up everyday and to do what’s necessary so I can keep on improving. Second, I make the shift by figuring out which things are within my circle of influence and which things are beyond that. For those that are beyond my influence, I try and let these be. But for those that are within my influence, I give it my best. As an example, lately I’ve been practicing ‘selective information’ … I only read articles and watch news that are relevant to me and my work. I try to ignore all other news which are mostly negative and sensationalized. So far, it’s been doing wonders for me. I’m less affected by issues – those that in the first place shouldn’t really have mattered anyway. #brew2015 #brewyourbestyear
