The Visible Vision for the Invisible Eye

Look at the place where you are at this very moment. Are you currently inside your office building? Or are you lying on your bed while enjoying your soft scented newly washed sheet of blanket? You are maybe staying inside a coffee shop right now, savoring the hour with a cup of an awesome cappuccino. Wherever you are at this moment, try to imagine what it looked like before the facility was built. Are you seeing what I’m seeing? Maybe yes or maybe no. But I’m seeing a vacant lot where weeds and rocks are the only occupants of it. There were no walls nor floors. No restrooms nor doors. It was just plain nothing.

However years ago or maybe just months ago, a person dropped by this vacant lot and on his mind he imagined the place where you are right now. He knows in himself that this is the place where he’ll raise the building of his dream. Somebody from the past imagined and visioned it even if it’s not yet existing or can be seen by the naked eye. He saw it so well that his heart nurtured it and became a belief. The belief later turned into actions, and his actions made the vision become real.

The power of visualization is a very important attitude of a successful person. Anyone who doesn’t have a clear vision won’t make clear efforts and actions. Nobody will pay without knowing what they are paying for. If they can’t see the prize, people will normally back off and just forget it. Architects, Artists, Car Racers and other professionals who are in the world of “Creations” know this important ability to execute an excellent work on their field.

The same thing goes for life. It is important for a person to have a clear picture of what he wants. Because if he won’t, he’ll just take any opportunity or door that would open not knowing where these would lead him. I love this conversation from Alice in Wonderland (written by Lewis Carol) when Alice was trying to determine which road to take:

Alice: “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
Cat: “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”
Alice: “I don’t much care where.”
Cat: “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”

I totally agree with the Cat’s statement. This is why it is vital to know what it is that we want. The true vision that cannot be seen by the naked eye but can be felt by the heart. It’s believing in that one thing even if it’s still hasn’t happened and because it was so clear, all the sacrifices like waking up early in the morning, staying up late, reading more books, going back and forth to different places, and other tiring activities were still counted worthy.

So when was the last time you visualized something in relation to your goal? Remember, it’s free to imagine, and I guess this is one of the few things that are considered free nowadays. You don’t have to deprive yourself of this and hopefully, one day, you’ll find what you really want in life. You just need to look for it, because those who seek will find it.
