There is a saying that a truly great mentor is hard to find, difficult to part with, and impossible to forget. My mentor happens to be my critic teacher when I had my practice teaching at San Joaquin-Kalawaan High School in Pasig City last November 2011 to March 2012. He was then the Faculty Club President, the English Coordinator, and at the during that time, he was finishing his Master’s Degree at National Teachers College. Even with his busy schedule, he still managed to train me to be the best teacher that I could be. He was very supportive in everything that I did. I learned all the things that I should learn for me to become a good educator from him. He taught me so many life lessons that I continuously apply in my life even up to this day. I look up to him so much. Now that I am also a professional teacher, I owe everything to him. The phrase ‘thank you’ isn’t enough for the things Dr. Gomer Ofalia Agon has done for me. I will forever be proud that you are my mentor!
