Cultivating one’s passion is something that truly resonates with me. The thing is, as complex beings, we are multi-dimensional. That said, the path to our full potential can be linear or it may branch out several creative avenues – all as a means to express oneself and connect.
Having been in the corporate world for most of my adult life, I found myself looking for creative outlets outside of my day job. It should be a way to refresh, to recalibrate beyond the established method and routine of daily work. In search of this, I developed a deep appreciation and connection with the practice of yoga.
As a conscientious yogi, my day does not seem complete if I miss a class. It took some years before I decided I was ready to take the next step until finally, I trained to become a certified yoga instructor. It’s a decision that has enriched my life and led me to be a yoga teacher and learning professional at the same time.
Pursuing creative callings can lead to new and exciting journeys. For some, it may be a ‘side hustle’ of sorts – a calculated means to an end. But as a constant learner, I take it as a extension of who I am, at a given point in my life, or even something that I am inclined to take with me for as long as I can.
