My dad has always been my hero, greatest critic, motivator and mentor in life . He taught me the value of time and how to be the best I can be. We may not be well off, especially back then, but he made sure that we were well provided for with our basic needs and that we would finish our education. He taught us not by books, but by example. He showed us how to value time, how to respect and relate to people, and how to excel in whatever we wished to do. From him, I learned how to prioritize and value family and how to balance life with work, fun, and service to the Lord. He will also be my greatest critic, pointing out ways in which I may improve – not because he thought little of me but rather because he knew and believed in me and in what I can do. In my life, I had my fair share of ups and downs, success and blunders, but he has and always been there to hold my hand and cheer me on. Words aren’t able to express how I value and love him so much. I would not be who I am today if not because of everything he had taught and shown me.
