Just today, I got my journal that coincides with the outreach activity organized by our group M.A.F.I. A. (Mars And Friends In Action) for underprivileged students. We brought them to a science museum for free. With the help of my friends, we were able to raise funds for the transportation, food, and event t-shirt. “GOD always provides, and He uses people as instruments to help us carry out our projects.”
I am a product of a public school– and I am proud of it! I’ve been teaching in a public school for 11 years now. 22 years ago, I spent my elementary days in this place as a student. Now, I am already teaching in the same school where I graduated. Among all my classmates, I am the only one who became a teacher. More than a profession, I must say that this is much more of a CALLING. With the challenges we face in the public school system, it takes someone with a BIG heart for kids to stay in this very challenging career. Compassion is really the name of the game.
